Wearing FeelMorys with a prescription

DARA, NOA and BADA accept an optical insert that mounts behind the main lens. Your optician glazes it to your prescription. Which models take one and which do not.

What it is

An optical clip-on is a small frame that mounts behind the main lens, inside the sunglass. Your optician fits it with lenses made to your prescription. The sunglass lens stays as it is.

It is a mounting compatibility rather than a lens technology. The frame is built with the geometry and the clip points to accept an insert.

How it works

Buy the frame. Take the insert to your optician. They glaze it to your prescription and clip it in. We do not make prescription lenses and we do not fit them, because that is regulated work and your optician is the one qualified to do it.

Three stages: the sunglass frame, the optical insert on its own, and the insert mounted behind the sunglass lens

Who it is for

Roughly a third of adults need correction to see clearly at distance. For anyone in that group a standard sports sunglass is not really purchasable, because contacts are not always an option and prescription sports eyewear is usually expensive.

An insert makes it a normal purchase with one extra step.

Common questions

Are these prescription sunglasses?

No. We sell the frame and the insert mounts behind the lens. Your optician glazes the insert to your prescription.

Will my prescription fit?

The insert geometry limits how strong a lens will fit, and we have not verified where that limit sits. Take the insert to your optician and they will tell you.

Which models accept an insert?

DARA, NOA and BADA. SOA, LUA, LUBARA and ARA do not.
